Launch of E-Learning as a Flexible approach to Continuing Education
The Education & Research Board (E&RB) are pleased to announce the formal launch of the first E-Learning module which focuses upon Vascular Access.
Focus of the Vascular Access Module
This first module uses the clinical stories and experiences of 4 patient each with different needs related to vascular access. As learners work through the module learning activities are built into the module which encourage learners to consider a wide range of practice and theoretical issues related to patient care.
Certification of successful completing & award of EDTNA/ERCA Continuing Education Learning Hours
Upon successful completion of the module assessments which are built into the module a certificate of achievement will be awarded by the E&RB recognising Continuing Education Learning hours and successful completion of the module.
Future Developments
The E&RB as part of our ongoing plans seek to develop a series of new and exciting modules on ELearning during 2008/2009. Each module will be written by experts in the field of clinical practice, education & research and will provide the opportunity for EDTNA/ERCA members to use the learning within their own clinical practice area. ELearning provides flexibility and choice on the pace and delivery of learning and therefore enables members to take a more individual approach to their continuing education.
