A Venous Needle Dislodgement (VND) is not a failure of the nurse-carer, since it can happen at any time by any patient and at any location. Therefore reporting is very crucial to help to understand the trigger of VND so we can identify the patients at risk for VND.
We aim to present the VND educational tool at the Dublin Conference (Plenary Session) as well as to distribute hard copies to delegates. Electronic copies will be available on the EDTNA/ERCA website in 15 languages after the Conference.
A questionnaire on VND will be distributed at the Plenary Session and also available at the EDTNA/ERCA & Redsense Medical stands. The VND project team values your contribution to complete the questionnaire as your input into this project can help make improved safety for all dialysis patients. A daily raffle will also occur for completed questionnaires. Please contact the VND project group at the Dublin Conference and learn more about the VND.
