Global Advances in Renal Care: Economic and Quality Impact of Disease Management
Site Selection Meeting

First project group meeting

The Project focuses on the four key areas where dialysis has an increasing impact on the environment, namely: water consumption, electricity consumption, clinical waste incineration and general awareness.

The first project group meeting was held in June in Germany. Fifteen people from different countries and work settings have come together to form four different project subgroups.

The training tools and guidelines will be utilized to create awareness amongst nurses and other renal care professions for environmental aspects in dialysis. The project update will be presented at the Dublin Conference. This will be followed by an opportunity to discuss the presentations with the guest speakers involved and benchmark the project group experience with your daily clinical practice.
