This questionnaire was designed by EDTNA/ERCA in collaboration with Medtronic with the main objective to explore the level of awareness, knowledge and current practices of Metal Needles vs Plastic Cannulae among nurses dealing with Chronic Kidney Disease patients.
The completion of the questionnaire is anonymous and confidential and the results will be used only for improvement of patient well-being. Maria Teresa was the keynote speaker presenting the opening speech ’Elements of Dialysis nursing practice associated with acute cannulation complications and Vascular Access survival’.
She was also speaking about ’Assessment of the vascular access and interpretation of the signs: Always be a step ahead of complication’ at a
round table discussion with the title ’Vascular Access - Anticipating the AVF failure’.
