EDTNA/ERCA at the 42nd Congreso Nacional SEDEN, Burgos, Spain, October 9-11, 2017

This important event for nephrology nursing, The 42nd National Congress of the Spanish Society of Nephrology Nursing, took place in the Congress Palace of Burgos, a central and accessible building in this historical, cultural and quiet city.

Maria Teresa Parisotto, EDTNA/ERCA Secretary presenting ’Vascular Access’ at the National Conference SEDEN in Burgos, Spain.

Maria Teresa was the keynote speaker presenting the opening speech ’Elements of Dialysis nursing practice associated with acute cannulation complications and Vascular Access survival’.

She was also speaking about ’Assessment of the vascular access and interpretation of the signs: Always be a step ahead of complication’ at a

round table discussion with the title ’Vascular Access - Anticipating the AVF failure’.

Clinical research group
The need of our Association to go deeper in the Nursing Clinical Practice led to the constitution of the new EDTNA/ERCA Research Group. The aim of the Research Group is to develop and improve the Clinical Research, designed by EDTNA/ERCA. The members of the groups are Dr. Helen Noble (chair), Dr. Ilaria de Barbieri (EC link) and Veronica Strini (data manager). Currently, the Research Group is developing a research project on Palliative Care in patients with Kidney Disease. Further information’s will come soon.
