55TH EDTNA/ERCA INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Dear Colleagues,
It is a great pleasure to welcome you to the 54th EDTNA/ERCA International Conference, taking place in Tallinn, Estonia, from 14–17 October 2027.
This year, we come together around a theme that is at the very heart of modern kidney care: “Person-Centred Kidney Care: Transforming Care Through Partnership.”
Kidney care is changing. Advances in science, technology and treatment are creating new possibilities, but true progress is not measured only by what we can do—it is also measured by how we care, how we listen and how we work together. Person-centred care places the individual at the centre of every decision, recognising their experiences, priorities, values and aspirations beyond their kidney disease.
Transformation also requires partnership. Patients, families, nurses, doctors, allied health professionals, researchers, educators and organisations all have an essential role to play. When we bring our knowledge, perspectives and experience together, we can challenge existing ways of working and create care that is more meaningful, responsive and sustainable.
Tallinn will provide the setting for us to explore these ideas together. Through scientific sessions, education, research, discussion and shared experiences, we will consider how partnership can move beyond a concept and become a powerful driver of change in everyday kidney care.
Our conference is also an opportunity to reconnect with colleagues, welcome new voices and strengthen the international community that makes EDTNA/ERCA unique. I encourage you to actively participate, share your experience, ask questions and bring your own perspective to the conversation.
The future of kidney care will not be shaped by one profession or one organisation. It will be shaped by what we achieve together.
I look forward to welcoming you to Tallinn and to sharing with you an inspiring conference dedicated to putting people, partnership and meaningful transformation at the centre of kidney care.
Together, let us transform care through partnership.
With warm regards,
